It can also be purchased in 24k layered gold. How many will you purchase? Or perhaps, the first sucker coin! The Great Ag |

But wait, there's more. Maybe you want to cherish Obama's life from his early childhood to his Presidency on the quarter dollar? We got that too! Sale price is $39.00! Better buy two, before they sell out.

Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
Damn! There is a limit of only 20! Anybody want to help a brother out and order some for me? I'm giving them to everybody for Christmas and would like to keep a few dozen for myself. These are sure to skyrocket in value!!

This actually seems a more fitting tribute...

Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
I'd like to make retirement money from them when they rocket in price as highly sought collectables, so I'll take a hundred of each but have to hurry before they sell out!

I think I just puked a little... :puke:

Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
Why go to the expense of owning gold when you can have quality historical artifacts that look like gold, and will increase in value each day as his power and prestige grows.

Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
Folks,
We as experienced silver and gold bugs/numismatic types need to educate the public about this CRAP. I had a lady show me some gold highlighted state quarters and tell me how collectable they are!!! WTF, lady you can not spell numismatic but just spout off what the con artist sellers told her. Had a friend who works in a bank, she needed some money and wanted to sell her stash but thought her old dimes were worth at least three dollars a piece (most were common date 1940 to 1945) nothing spectacular. I explained the Bullion Market and Numismatic, most common Mercs retail at 2 bucks, more or less. She contacted a "buyer" and when she offered 5x times face last week, Bank Teller called back and thanked me for the education and sold them to me (She has mistakenly been led to believe that coin collectors will rip her off and coin buyers will pay the highest prices!) Poor Sheeple, ripe for the pickings. |

Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
Never over estimate the intelligence of the buying public. I just wish I thought of this. I wonder just how many suckers will buy their limit of these. I'm absolutely sure these will become valued family heirlooms, 'cause frankly, I can't see how anyone will be able to sell them in the future-- they'll have to pass them off to their grandkids.

Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
BTW, does anyone know what that color image is on these? I suspect it's a paper sticker.

Might buy a coin stamper/press and see if I can get the contract to make commerative coins for Belize, Vanuatu, Somalia or Hutt River Province. The money prince of Cajunia could be in the money as soon as his coin in minted and marketed. |

Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
Just for fun, I went to eBay and did a search for "obama coin" and had 110 hits. A lot of similar junk, but one item stood out. A 24k 1 ounce, GOLD OBAMA ROUND!
Check out the premium over spot! Currently $180. The Great Ag |
Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
Yuck! Doesn't even say "1 Oz. .999 Gold" on it! :banghead:

Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
This whole thing reminds me of the song "Cult of Personality" by Living Color. I remember when the song came out, with the references to Stalin, Ghandi, JFK, and Mussilini(sp?), I thought the cult of personality was a thing of the past. How wrong I was.
Those coins creep me out. |

Perhaps an obamite cannot afford gold, no worries, she can buy the same coin in pure silver. :111: Don't forget friends and family members want their share of the wealth too! Heck, maybe obama will even give these away free as "share the wealth" tokens. |

I once purchased, and returned a supposed silver Kennedy half-dollar with the US army logo. The coin was NOT silver, as advertised, and the logo was a disappointing decal. The Great Ag |
Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
I can't believe none of you noted this:
"Item # BODollar" Pretty much says it all ... and then some. |
Re: Just saw on TV - A new collector coin
Take heed, Ladies and Gentlemen: There may come a time in the near future when all paper and coin currency bears the image of our "Dear Leader." The Washington D.C. metro subway cards already do.
